FAQ

Clear answers before you book

This page covers booking, consultations, preparation, aftercare, pricing in CAD, and studio policies. If you still have questions, contact us and we will help you plan calmly and clearly.

Booking and consultations

Consultations help us confirm feasibility, estimate time, and align on style. They also reduce surprises on session day.

How do I book?

Online request or by phone.

You can book a consultation through our Contact page or call +1 604 683 2719. We will ask about approximate size, placement, preferred style, and your timing window.

Do you accept walk-ins?

When scheduling allows.

Sometimes. Availability varies by artist schedule and the complexity of the request. For best results and time planning, we recommend booking a consultation first.

How far in advance should I book?

Depends on artist and project size.

Smaller pieces can sometimes be scheduled within a couple of weeks, while custom multi-session projects may require more lead time. During consultation we will confirm a realistic timeline and session plan.

Can I choose an artist?

Yes, or we can match you.

Yes. You can request an artist directly (see Artists) or describe your goal and we will suggest a good fit based on style and availability.

Do you require a deposit?

Sometimes, depending on the booking.

Some appointments require a deposit to secure time and begin design planning. Deposit details and any rescheduling policy are explained before you confirm your appointment.

Pricing and payments

We price fairly and transparently. Final cost depends on size, placement, complexity, and total session time.

Currency
All estimates are in CAD

We provide a CAD estimate range after consultation. On the day, we confirm scope and session plan before starting.

Minimum
Minimum charge applies

Small pieces still require setup, sterilization steps, and aftercare guidance. Our current minimum starts at $180 CAD for many services.

Payment
Payment method confirmation

Payment options are confirmed during booking so you know what to expect on arrival. Please ask if you need a receipt.

Why can pricing change after a consult?

Scope can evolve during planning.

If you change size, placement, or detail level, the time estimate can change. We confirm a realistic plan before the session begins so you can decide if you want to proceed.

Do you offer quotes by message only?

We can provide ranges, but consults are best.

We can often share a rough CAD range if you provide size and placement. For custom work, a consultation is the best way to confirm feasibility and get an accurate time plan.

Preparation

Preparation affects comfort and session flow. If you have medical questions, ask a licensed healthcare professional.

What to do the day before

  • Sleep well and hydrate
  • Confirm your appointment time and location (595 Burrard St)
  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows access to the area

What to bring

  • Your reference images (optional) and any notes about placement
  • A snack and water for longer sessions
  • A layer for temperature comfort (hoodie or jacket)
Safety note

If you feel unwell on the day of your appointment, contact us to discuss rescheduling. A calm, stable session environment helps both comfort and outcome.

Aftercare and healing

We provide written aftercare instructions after every session. Healing varies by skin and placement, so follow the guidance you receive from your artist.

What is a normal healing timeline?

General expectations, not medical advice.

Many tattoos feel settled on the surface within a couple of weeks, while deeper healing can take longer. Your artist will explain what you can expect for your placement and style, including when to avoid soaking and how to protect the area.

Do you provide aftercare instructions in writing?

Yes, printed and by email when requested.

Yes. We provide clear written aftercare guidance and review it briefly before you leave. If you prefer, we can also send the same guidance to your email.

What if I am concerned during healing?

Contact us, and consult a clinician for medical concerns.

If you have a process or aftercare question, contact the studio and we will advise based on the aftercare guidance you received. If you have symptoms you believe may require medical attention, consult a qualified healthcare professional promptly.

Do you offer touch-ups?

Case-by-case, based on your piece and healing.

Touch-ups are considered case-by-case and depend on placement, style, and how the piece heals. If you want a touch-up review, contact us after your tattoo has fully healed.

Disclaimer: Tattooing is a personal decision. Our team provides design guidance and a professional process, but you are responsible for your final design choices and placement decisions.

Studio policies

These are general expectations that help keep sessions organized, respectful, and safe.

Hygiene and safety

We follow a hygiene-first workflow with single-use items where applicable, barrier protection practices, and a clean appointment setup. If you have questions about process steps, ask during consultation.

Design and placement decisions

We provide professional guidance on readability, body flow, and long-term wear. You remain responsible for final approval of design and placement before the session begins.
